Recipe amount: 30 latkes


5 each large potato
1 each large onion
7 Tbsp flour
4 each large egg
1 tsp salt
½ tsp hot chili powder
5 Tbsp oil

Preparation steps:
  1. Grate potatoes and onions twice.
  2. Wait 5 minutes and drain some of the liquids.
  3. Microwave on medium heat for 2 minutes. Drain liquids again.
  4. Add flour, eggs, salt and chili powder to mixture.
  5. In a non stick pan, heat 1 Tbsp oil.
  6. Fry 8 latkes at a time for 2 minutes each side.
  7. Mix the ingredients before starting each batch.
  8. Add 1 Tbsp of oil to the pan before each batch.
Serving: With sour cream or apple sauce on the side.

Take note!
  • Do not double the recipe as the potatoes
    release liquids while waiting to get fried.
    A batch that has too much liquids doesn't
    fry evenly.
