Carrots and green peas with dumplings soup

1 Tbsp oil
1 each medium onion, chopped
1 each large carrot, peeled and grated
4 cup water
3 Tbsp vegetable soup powder
1 Tbsp chicken soup powder
½ tsp salt
tsp black pepper
1 each green peas can (15 oz)
1 each egg
1 Tbsp water
¼ cup flour
¼ tsp chicken soup powder
parsley for garnish

Preparation steps:
  1. Saute the onions for 5 minutes, add carrots and continue to saute for 3 minutes.
  2. Add water, soup powders, salt and black pepper and cook for 30 minutes.
  3. Add green peas.

  4. Dumplings mix: In a small bowl mix the egg, water, flour and soup powder until the consistency is similar to sour cream. The mix can be prepared several hours before dinner and refrigerated.

    About 10 minutes before meal time
  5. Use a tea spoon to prepare the dumplings. Fill half the tea spoon with the mix. Insert the tea spoon into the boiling soup and gently release the mix into the soup.
  6. Prepare only the dumplings that are served immediately, as the dumplings don't refrigerate well. Prepare 3-4 dumplings per person.
  7. Cook the dumplings in the soup for 6-10 minutes.
Serving: Garnish with parsley.
