Green papaya salad

2 lbs green papaya
Salad dressing
6 Tbsp brown sugar
5 Tbsp lemon juice
5 Tbsp fish sauce
2 Tbsp oil
2 each garlic clove - minced
10-20 each cherry tomato - halved

Preparation steps:
  1. In a large bowl mix the salad dressing ingredients.
  2. Peel the green papaya and use a spoon to scrape out the seeds. Use a food processor to shred the green papaya.
  3. Add the green papaya to the bowl. Mix well.
Serving: decorate with cherry tomatoes

Take note!
  • Green papaya is a different fruit than
    the regular papaya.
    Typically purchased in Asian food markets.
  • For a larger green papaya - increase the
    salad dressing amount at the ratio of
    this recipe.
  • The salad can be served right away
    or prepared 1-2 days ahead of being served.
