Carrots and Chinese pecans salad

3 each large carrot, peeled and shredded
4 each green onion, chopped
½ package Chinese style pecans nuts
3 Tbsp brown sugar
¼ tsp salt
1/3 cup white vinegar
¼ cup oil
¼ cup hot water

Preparation steps:
  1. Break the pecans to small pieces: place the pecans in a ziploc bag and pound on them using a rolling pin.
  2. In a large bowl mix the salad dressing: brown sugar, salt, vinegar, oil and water.
  3. Add the carrots, green onions and Chinese pecans. Mix well.

This recipe is an adaptation to a unique salad Dorit brought to my sister's 50th birthday party.
