Preparation steps: |
- Boil 3 cups water in a large stock pot/steamer set. Additionally boil water in the
teakettle.
- Pour the rice into a medium size stainless bowl, one that can easily
fit in the steamer.
- Rinse the rice twice with tap water.
- Once the water in the steamer and the teakettle boils, put the rice bowl in the
steamer. Pour hot water into the rice bowl,
covering the rice with ½ - 1 inch water.
- Steam for 30-40 minutes.
Serving: Use a cake spatula to release the
rice from the bowl. Flip the stainless bowl onto a serving dish. (see picture)
