The moon and start molds are cup size cake
molds. Since these were not made for steaming
but baking, it is important to wash and dry
them right after the steaming, otherwise the
molds would get rusty.
Additionally, use a plastic cake spatula rather
than a knife to release the rice from the mold,
so that the molds don't get scratched and rusty.

Take note!
  • Pour a little bit less than 1/3 cup of hot
water into the molds of the lower steamer
deck, as they get more moist being closer
    to the sreamer water.
This would promote same level of moisture
    for all rice molds.

  • Long grain white rice can be used instead
    of the jasmine rice.
