Broiled chicken drumsticks

8 each chicken drumstick
¾ cup sugar
6 Tbsp salt
4 cup water
1 Tbsp olive oil
salt and freshly ground black pepper

Preparation steps:
  1. Brine the chicken drumsticks in the mix of water, sugar and salt for 1-4 hours.
  2. Remove from brine and set on paper towel to absorb excess liquids.
  3. Transfer the drumsticks onto a baking sheet lined with aluminum.
  4. Broil on low broiler on the bottom shelf of the oven for 14-16 minutes. The bottom shelf is about 11" away from the broiler. Flip the drumsticks and broil additional 14-16 minutes.
  5. Transfer to the top shelf and broil on high broiler for 1 minute to get a brown and crispy drumsticks.
