Barbecued chicken sticks with lemon grass

3-4 lbs chicken thigh meat, bite size pieces
4 each lemon grass, chopped
2 each green onion
2 clove garlic
½ cup sugar
1 cup canned pineapple & pineapple juice
½ cup soy sauce
1 Tbsp oil

Preparation steps:
  1. Mix the marinade ingredients in a blender.
  2. Marinade the chicken and refrigerate for an hour to 6 hours.
  3. Prepare the chicken skewers (20-30 skewers).
  4. Barbecue for 10-15 minutes on medium-high heat.

Take note!
  • Lemon grass - use the bottom
    1-2 inches of the lemon grass
    and discard the rest.

  • Substitute the chicken thigh
    meat with chicken breast meat.
