Compote with apples and dried fruits

1 cup sugar
7 cup water
cup dried, pitted prunes
½ cup dried, pitted apricots
¼ cup raisins
1 Tbsp lemon juice
3 each large green apples, peeled and cut into 16 pieces

Preparation steps:
    1. Combine all ingredients except the apples in a medium pot.
    2. Bring to boil and cook for 15 minutes.
    3. Add the apples and cook additional 5 minutes.
    4. Cool down and refrigerate.

    Serving: Serve chilled in individual dessert bowls.
