Oats and nuts bars

1 cup Quaker quick oats
¾ cup roasted and salted pumpkin seeds (pepitas)
1 cup walnuts, broken to chunks
½ cup orange flavored dry cranberries
2 cup puffed rice cereal
½ cup roasted sesame seeds
¼ cup unsalted butter (½ stick)
½ cup honey
½ cup brown sugar
¼ tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla

Preparation steps:
  1. Bake the Quaker quick oats on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper at 350F for 10 minutes.
  2. Transfer the oats to a large bowl.
  3. Line a 10" x 12" (disposable) baking pan with parchment paper.
  4. Add the pepitas, walnuts, cranberries, rice cereal and sesame seeds to the large bowl and mix the ingredients.
  5. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter. Add honey, brown sugar, vanilla and salt and cook on low heat until the sugar is dissolved.
  6. Stir in the butter mixture into the large bowl.
  7. Pour the mixture into the baking pan. Use a second sheet of parchment paper to press the mixture down.
  8. Let the mixture cool down for 2 hours.
  9. Remove from the pan, and cut into 24 bars.
