Preparation steps: |
- Whip the egg whites with sugar and cream of tartar until stiff. Keep refrigerated.
- Mix the egg yolks, sugar, oil, orange juice, orange peel and almond extract.
Add the flour in a few batches and mix well.
- Fold in the egg whites.
- Butter a 10½-inch diameter cake pan. (26 cm).
Bake at 350F for 50-55 minutes.
- Cool down and sprinkle powdered sugar.
