Preparation steps: |
- In a medium pot cook the garbanzo beans, water and baking powder for 2 hours.
Strain the water and put aside.
- In a blender, process the tahini paste, garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, water and salt.
- Set aside 1⁄3 cup cooked garbanzo beans to decorate the hummus plate.
- Transfer the cooked garbanzo beans to the blender, process until it becomes a consistent paste.
Serving: with pita bread.
